Create your first world

Available on Free and Plus. You need permission to manage the Discord server.

Open the Weatherly dashboard and sign in with Discord. Select the server you want to set up.

If it is missing, confirm you signed in with the correct Discord account and have Manage Server or Administrator there. Refresh the server list after changing permissions.

Choose Invite Weatherly, select the same server in Discord, and approve the installation. Keep the dashboard open while Weatherly checks the connection.

If the setup screen does not update, choose I’ve installed it — check again. See Discord permissions if the bot cannot see your destination channel.

On Create your roleplay world, choose a starter such as Balanced realm or Stormbound coast. Starters fill in suggested settings; you can change them.

Enter a world name and a starting year, month, and day. This is your fictional date, not today’s real date.

Choose the climate, hemisphere, temperature unit, and weather tone that fit your setting.

Set your real-world timezone, local posting time, and advancement interval. Weatherly advances the roleplay date and posts at that local time.

For example, you could start your world on year 842, month 8, day 14, and schedule posts for 09:00 in America/Chicago. The fictional date and the real posting time serve different purposes.

Choose the first Discord destination, then select Create world and send preview.

Check the channel for the calendar and weather message. If it does not arrive, open Troubleshooting before repeatedly pressing Post now.
