Automatic posts & feeds
Automatic weather and calendar posts are available on Free and Plus.
What is a feed?
Section titled “What is a feed?”A feed connects a world to a Discord channel. Its settings control the destination and whether messages include weather, calendar information, or both.
Open Feeds for the selected world to manage destinations. Free allows four feeds per server; Plus allows twelve.
Choose a posting mode
Section titled “Choose a posting mode”Weatherly supports dashboard-style posts that update an existing message and feed-style posts that publish new messages. Choose the mode that fits your channel.
A dashboard-style destination keeps the latest information in one place. A feed-style destination gives members a sequence of updates to read.
Send the current day
Section titled “Send the current day”Use Post now in the dashboard to request a post for the selected world’s current roleplay day. It does not advance the date.
Wait for the delivery result. A request can be queued or retrying before Discord confirms it.
Understand the result
Section titled “Understand the result”| Result | What to do |
|---|---|
| Pending or running | Allow the request to finish |
| Retry | Weatherly is trying again; check status if it persists |
| Succeeded | Check the configured destination |
| Failed | Read the visible error and check permissions |
| Suppressed | Review the world and delivery state before requesting another post |
Fix a destination
Section titled “Fix a destination”Make sure the bot remains installed and can View Channel, Send Messages, and Embed Links. Replace deleted destinations in Feeds.
Changing a feed does not require a new world. See Troubleshooting for schedule and Discord outage checks.
